I love reflecting at the end of the year, particularly on my business ventures and professional life. It's a great time for me to sit down and think about my goals for the coming months and set some blogging resolutions for 2016! Last year, I set some New Year's resolutions for bloggers and I definitely want to continue this throughout the course of my blogging "career"! Setting blogging resolutions forces me to take a hard look at analytics and see what's working versus what isn't so I can make changes going into the New Year. Without further ado, here are my blogging resolutions for 2016! I hope you'll share some of YOUR blogging resolutions with me in the comments below!

Blogging Resolutions For 2016

1. Monetize more!
Of course, this is a goal of any blogger, but I finally feel like I'm getting a better understanding for how to monetize my site and I want to expand on that in the New Year. Monetizing isn't my most important goal, but it's definitely one of them! I do a lot of VA work and help people grow their traffic and monetization, but I want to focus on doing that more for myself this year!

2. Publish three times a week.
I've recently moved from publishing twice (or less, sometimes) a week to publishing three times a week. I'm not only seeing a great increase in my traffic, but I'm getting a more consistent stream of quality content out to you guys, and I'm really starting to fall in love with blogging again! I want to build on that for part of my blogging resolutions of 2016.

3. Research SEO more.
I already know a pretty fair amount about SEO and I've even blogged about it before, but there is ALWAYS more to learn when it comes to SEO! I want to dive in a little deeper and revamp some old posts to have better SEO and hopefully bring them back from the dead. I did this recently with a post called 50 Things I Want To Teach My Daughter and it did over 400% better than it did when I originally wrote it. SEO matters, people!

4. Redesign my website.
I probably do this way too often, but I get tired of the same thing all the time and I like looking at something new! I've recently picked a few colors that I feel suit my blog better and I want to move towards those colors and change my fonts as well. This may or may not include a new logo for better branding purposes and I *desperately* need to order new business cards, so that's one of my first official acts of business for 2016!

5. Get published on HuffPo.
HuffPo definitely isn't for everyone, but I've been in a really active group of bloggers a lot lately and many of them are being published there. For me, it isn't necessarily just about potential new pageviews on my own blog, it's just a dream of mine to get published on a big site like that! I sent in my first pitch recently and will continue to try until I do! 2016, here I come!

What are some of your blogging resolutions for 2016? I'd love to hear in the comments below! Let's discuss our goals together!
