So you've browsed Pinterest and seen a few pins about bullet journaling, right? But what's the big deal? Today, I'm going to share with you how bullet journaling has upped not only my blogging game, but made me much more organized as a wife, mother, and human being in general! For those who know me in real life, you know that I can be a messy, unorganized hot mess. Bullet journaling has totally changed the game for me! Here's a few reasons why bloggers (and everyone!) should start bullet journaling!
1. Blog Master Task List.
I recently made a collection in my bullet journal for my blog titled "Blog Master Task List". Often times, I'll be out and about or thinking about things in the wee hours of the morning that I need or want to get done for my blog. Then later, when I get time to sit down and actually work on my blog, I can't remember any of it! Having a blog master task list that I can refer back to and make notes in throughout the day (or night) is so helpful! And sure, I could just make tons of notes in my phone, but they'd likely get lost in the shuffle or forgotten about. What fun is making notes if you can't create a cute collection page while bullet journaling anyway? 😉
2. Blog Stats Tracker.
Previously, I was tracking my stats on a poorly made spreadsheet in Google Drive and only remembering to update it once every two months or so. I like to see how well things are going and how my blog is growing on a monthly and sometimes bi-weekly basis and having a collection right in my BuJo is a great way to keep on top of things!
3. Daily Logs.
I use these for both personal and blog to-do lists. Some people have separate bullet journals for their blogs and personal lives, but currently I have them combined because I think I'd get overwhelmed with two of them to keep up with. This is great for me because I have a habit of forgetting multiple things in a day for my blog if I'm concentrating on other things like virtual assistant work. It helps me to see things visually in a list and marking them as done feels great!
If I haven't touched on it enough yet, the organizational feature of bullet journaling is hands down the most amazing part of this whole process! I have never felt so organized in my life. If you struggle to keep organized like I do, this is key to your success!
5. Creative juices flowing!
Ever since I started bullet journaling, I've had ideas flowing out of my brain nonstop! Something about doodling, color coding, and learning to do beautiful handlettering has brought the creativity out of me something fierce. I think most bloggers would find the same if they start bullet journaling; it's inspiring to create something so beautiful and clean looking and it can definitely help you be inspired to do the same with your blog.
Bullet journaling isn't just about creativity and organization for me, either. With two kids under three years old, it's important to me to have a hobby and something I can do during "me time" that also is relaxing and fun! I started creating a wishlist for bullet journaling supplies - here are the ones that seem to be the most popular with other bullet journal junkies!
